So it's getting hot here and the squash don't like it. They tend to go limp during the heat of the day and then perk up again once it cools down. I would think that this would stress them out so I'm going to water them a little more frequently. I think once their roots get down to the reservoir they will be a little less vulnerable to the heat.

With the leaves so limp you can see inside to the little treasures. The Golden Glories are coming along.

And the green zucchini is almost ready for dinner.
It never fails to amaze me how quickly these grow. They go from pickle-sized to arm-sized in the blink of an eye!! Looking good :)
ReplyDeletelol yeah, this year I'm going to try to eat them before they get as big as my arm. I did make a lot of zucchini muffins last year though :)
ReplyDeleteIt just happened to me!!! After I just cut all the squash back, the very next day I went to pick some and I found this MONSTER one hiding in the back. I swore I would not let the zucchini go to waste this year, but what would YOU do with a 4.5 lb zucchini??
